Dr. Marni Russell, DDS
Marni (Fuller) Russell was born and raised in Oklahoma City. She attended Heritage Hall from preschool to 12th grade, where she was involved in activities like ballet, cheerleading, show choir, visual arts, and AP classes. She loved everything in school, but ultimately decided to study dentistry because it combined Science and Art — her two favorite subjects. She received a bachelor’s degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Business from Texas Christian University. While at TCU, she was very involved with the Chi Omega sorority and worked as a lab tech in the Biology department.
She returned to OKC for dental school, and earned her DDS from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. After graduation, she received further training in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at OU. In this program, she learned advanced techniques including the utilization of all-ceramic esthetic crowns, digital dentistry, surgical procedures, root canal therapy, placement of dental implants, and complex treatment planning.
Dr. Russell and her husband, Jacob Russell, have been married since July 2017. They live in Oklahoma City and are active members at their church. Jacob attended Oklahoma State University, and he now works in Shawnee as a financial advisor with Edward Jones. Jacob has one brother, Zach, who just happens to be Dr. Farley’s son-in-law. The Russells do not have any pets or children yet, so their main goals are to keep their plants alive and to have a perfect lawn. They often travel to Jacob’s alma mater in Stillwater for football games (and for the bacon cheese fries at Eskimo Joe’s).
Dr. Russell has known Dr. Farley nearly her whole life. She grew up at the same church as Dr. Farley’s kids, and the two families went on a few vacations together. She is thrilled to work with Dr. Farley and to have such an experienced, talented, and ethical mentor as she transitions into private practice.
